Mitchell Rubinstein is in private practice. He practices labor, employment law, and education law. He formely worked as an employment attorney at Sapir Schragin and was employed as senior counsel at the New York State United Teachers ("NYSUT"). Mitchell Rubinstein also serves as a Hearing Officer. He has represented clients in every type of dispute imaginable and has handled very difficult and complex cases.
Mitchell Rubinstein is a graduate of Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. While in law school he served as research editor for the Hofstra Labor Law Journal and published an article on a controversial employment discrimination topic. Since that time, Mitchell Rubinstein has published sixteen law review articles. His scholarship has been cited by hundreds of law review commentators and in books and legal treatises. Mitchell Rubinstein's scholarship has also been cited by several courts including, the New York Court of Appeals, the California Supreme Court and the Supreme Judicial Court of Maine. His articles have appeared in St. Johns Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Labor and Employment Law, Michigan State Law Review and the University of California Journal of Labor and Employment Law.
Mitchell Rubinstein is on the faculty of New York Law School as an adjunct professor of law where he teaches classes on labor and employment law and previously served as an adjunct professor of law at St.Johns University School of Law where he taught classes on labor and education law.
